It is only this week that I realise that we are close to the end of the course. It also reminds me to begin the expedition on the wings of technology. What I really liked is the way project work was planned by Robert. If we distribute the project works in different steps and in different weeks, the participants will not feel the weight of the project on the last week. They only have to compile them to a final project. This is really interesting. I enjoyed the peer evaluation. I did not even stop there. I have read almost all the final projects of my friends. What a diversity! Looking at the same tool in different perspective. I hope perspectives makes the learning meaningful.
What I learned much is from a blind teacher's perspective on technology. I have scribbled about it on Nicenet. It reminds me the necessity of talking about softwares that help the blind and the deaf. I remember Mark Twain's words: Kindness is the word that the blind can see and the deaf can hear. We must be even technologically kind to them!
Best wishes

Hi Sujith
ReplyDeleteI too was really impressed by the way Robert had planned the course or it would have been very difficult to reach even towards the end of this course.I too studied almost all the final projects and liked all of them. This is how we learn from caring and sharing.I learn t a lot through nicenet too.You know when you mentioned about the blind teacher's perspective of technology,I want to tell you that in my school there is a student who has has created a" foot operated mouse" for handicapped persons and the day I saw it I was really happy that now physically handicapped people can use computers
with the help of this mouse.I think we all should keep in touch in future too.

Hi Sujith,
ReplyDeleteI do agree also with Preeti that learning and sharing is one of the greates tools we can use in our classes. As we are quite creative teachers we may use any of them to implement our created projects working together after the course.
Good luck!
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
